The purpose of the Midwest Organic Services Association is to offer high quality organic certification and verification services to farmers and processors primarily in the Midwestern United States.

According to recent data, Montana ranks 1st among states in the production of certified organic wheat, and 2nd in organic production of all grains, peas, lentils and flax. This department is accredited to certify organic producers and handlers, both under the USDA National Organic Program and under International Standards Organization (ISO) Guide 65.

Minnesota Crop Improvement Association (MCIA) is one of the oldest agricultural organizations in the state of Minnesota. It was originally organized in 1903 by people interested in the "systematic encouragement for the use of pedigreed seed." In recent years the association has diversified to offer new and expanded services to members. Each MCIA program is backed by a century of experience and integrity. While current program review and enhancement are on-going, MCIA staff members work with customers on new program implementation and market development.

The federally accredited Maryland Organic Certification Program (MOCP) certified 78 farms along with twelve handlers of organic products in Maryland in 2004. The program also registered an additional 15 farms as organic that are exempt from the certification requirements.

The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), formed in 1971, is the oldest and largest state organic organization in the country. Mission: The purpose of the Association is to help farmers and gardeners grow organic food, protect the environment, recycle natural resources, increase local food production, support rural communities, and illuminate for consumers the connection between healthful food and environmentally sound growing practices.

Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture Institute offers three types of certification: USDA National Organic Program certification for use of the term organic within the United States, International certification for clients wishing to use the term organic in international markets, and Maharishi Vedic Agriculture certification, for clients who wish to use the Maharishi Vedic Agriculture label and trademark as an additional, optional label claim.
